Atlantic County Rev. War Pension Applications Available Now!
Society Librarian, Rev. Norman Goos, Past President NJSSAR, will present “Revolutionary War Pension Records Atlantic & Ocean County.” Norm will share insights from the Atlantic County Historical Society’s America 250 Rev War project, developed in partnership with the Col. Richard Somers NJSSAR chapter and Gen. Lafayette NSDAR chapter members. This initiative has grown from 15 to 42 Revolutionary War Pension Applications, thanks to the dedication of our volunteers. These records, covering patriots who lived in what is now Atlantic County, NJ, enrich our understanding of their sacrifices between 1775 and 1783. The culmination of this project—a comprehensive 400-page manual with transcriptions and original images—is scheduled for public release on June 11th, 2026 at the Col. Somers Chapter Meeting at Fred and Ethel’s at 6:30pm.

The Atlantic County Historical Society Museum and Library, located at 907 Shore Rd, Somers Point, NJ, is open Thursday through Saturday, 10:00AM to 3:00PM.
